The witch seems frustrated to be woken up at this time. “Fake it. Surely you’ve had a heat,” she says. “You’re old enough to.”

This is true. Kelly is twenty-three, far past puberty and she should have found someone she was attracted to. But perhaps she was looking at all the wrong partners. As she stares at the witch she realizes she prefers not the hard, square bodies of men but the soft, rounder bodies of women. They’re so delectable, and the idea of touching…
