Colleen Keehne
My debut novel was published in October 2016. It took me a year and half to accomplish this feat. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and hold down a full-time job. Throw into that mix two very spoiled cats and about 60 fish and you can see why it took so long.
I have always been an avid reader.I enjoy reading Science Fiction and I love to read Romances, especially Paranormal and Sci Fi romances. I always wished I could write them too but never had the courage to try my hand at it. Then in late 2014 my best friend started writing a book and challenged me to write one too. And so my journey to be a published author started.
I have had a lot of help and support along the way. From online friends and other writers to authors that I have met in real life. My family and non-writing friends have supported too.
I spent most of my years just outside of Oregon before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001. I followed the man who is my soul mate and husband to Vegas. We met in an online chat room in 1998 and were married in 2005. Since Las Vegas is the marriage capital of the world, we did the deed in true Las Vegas fashion. We went through the drive through window at a local wedding chapel.
I have two wonderful adult children that still live in Oregon. I have two grandsons (both are now teenagers) and one granddaughter (she’s a little redheaded firecracker). When I married my husband I became “Anutie” to another granddaughter and twin grandsons in Hawaii.
I worked full time in the gaming industry as Product Assurance Engineering Tech until being laid off in July of 2017. I now am trying to be a full time writer.
