Amanda *Mandi Mac* McRae was born in Queens, NY to Gencie R. McRae and Vincent E. McRae Sr. on September 28th. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Charlotte, NC and then Winston-Salem, NC where she was raised.

She graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC with 2 degrees; a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Communications/Public Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing.

Upon graduating, she has worked as a Substitute Teacher, Freelance Publicist, Jr. Talent, Literary and Sports Agent, a Hip-Hop News Editor, a Marketing Associate and a freelance Media Consultant. After realizing that Corporate America was a bit too hectic for her career as an Author, she decided to go back to Teaching and landed an English Teaching job in China where she taught for one year. She is currently a Teacher in the Atlanta Metro area where she also resides. 

Although Amanda has been very focused and content with her goals and dreams, she has faced a lot of adversity. Throughout her years, she has learned how to handle everything that comes her way with style and grace.
