As if the view of him doing domestic chores in a pair of shorts and that tight shirt didn’t already have her hungry. She really needed to find some nice guy to scratch the itch.

They ate at his little table and finished off the entire bottle of wine. He suggested they watch a little TV to let the alcohol work its way out of their systems before he drove her home. She readily agreed.

Joy curled onto the couch beside him as the movie he’d selected started playing. He was so close she could smell him, all male and sexy. His scent turned her insides mushy. With the alcohol making her head spin, it took an act of will to stop her hand from rubbing his leg.

She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Being tipsy wasn’t a smart idea when she was horny. The movie he’d chosen didn’t help, either. The romantic comedy had a steamy sex scene with a guy that—while not in Derek’s league—was really ripped. The woman was sexy, too.

She knew Derek thought so, too, because his shorts weren’t lying flat anymore. The sight of him outlined in cloth captivated her. She couldn’t tear her eyes away from it.

Joy turned a little on the couch so she could watch him without being obvious and noticed that he wasn’t really watching the TV. He was taking surreptitious looks at her legs.

There was only one way to be sure.

She began toying with the hem of her skirt as she pretended to watch the movie. Up and down it went, always ending up showing a little more leg. It hasn’t been all that demure to begin with, but after a few minutes, it had risen to the point that her mom would long since have had a coronary.

Derek’s heart must’ve been working overtime, too, because he forgot the movie. His eyes were definitely watching her.

She licked her lips. Did she dare make a move on him? Would he flip out? Well, that probably depended on how she worked the situation and how much time he had to think. In this case, instinct was much more reliable, she wagered.

Joy looked over at him. “Are you enjoying the show?”

He blinked and only belatedly yanked his eyes up from her lap. “What?”

“The movie. Are you enjoying it?”

His eyes finally focused on her face. “Sure.”

“What were they doing?”

Derek glanced at the TV. “Ah…they were having…sex.”

She smiled. “That was fifteen minutes ago. I’m asking what they did after sex.”

“They’re in a coffee shop.”

“Right. But, there was a scene between then and now. Did you even see it?”

His eyes took on a tinge of panic. “I wasn’t paying enough attention. Sorry.”

“Oh, you were paying attention, all right. Just not to the movie. You’ve been staring at my legs. Or were you looking a little higher?”
