Smoke. Fire. Mark. Sirens.
What's that beeping noise? He slowly opened his eyes. Everything was white, not black. He began to come to. He was starting to put things together. He was in a hospital bed.

Andy and Mark were high school sweethearts, split apart by Mark going to college on the East Coast, hundreds of miles away from the rural American town in he had grown up in. The two lose contact until many years later when they bump into each other at a bar in Chicago. They reminisce about their last night together as teenagers and decide to repeat it, leading to a night of hot sex. In the morning, Mark leaves for his fire fighting job and doesn't make contact with Andy for days. Andy mistaking this for a quick fuck'n'go, when what he really wants is Mark back in his life good, goes about trying to get his attention. But his grand plan only ends up with Andy in hospital and a confused Mark at his side. Confessing his intentions, the two realise they were meant to be together and so set about rekindling their relationship for good.

As he nibbled on some chips in a basket in front of him, he was reminiscing about his college days, and how he and Mark had kept in touch for the first year. Or was it just the first semester?
