C.S. Drury
C.S. Drury is a writer, director, and producer originally from Providence, RI. He holds a degree in Public and Community Service Studies from Providence College and has worked in the fields of education, civic engagement, and community development. He studied theatre arts at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, CA, and the Herbert Berghof Studio and Labyrinth Theatre Company in New York City.
Production credits include Students Turn for A Change, (producer) distributed by American Public Television, Ravens (writer, director, producer, editor), The Engagement (writer, director, producer, editor), Empty (director), and the new television serial drama, High Court, set in a fictional U.S. Supreme Court (co-creator and writer).
His play So Long Lives This, which he wrote and performed with collaborator Bill Quigley, won the American Globe Theatre’s Alan Minieri Playwriting Award and was published by Smith & Krause in their collection, The Best Ten-Minute Plays of 2011. His other plays have been produced at the Herbert Berghof Playwrights Foundation, Broadway West Theatre, Squarewrights Theatre Company, and the Richmond Shepard Theatre.
His first book of non-fiction, The Light Inside: Welcome to the World of Spirit was published by Puma Negra Publishing and is currently available as an ebook. The paperback edition will be available in April, 2014.
