<p>I was born into a creative family so it was only natural that my life would take an artistic path. I am a Midwestern country girl at heart who grew up with a love for books. My first books were Gothic Romances by Dorothy Eden, Dorothy Daniels, and Phyllis Whitney with a little Agatha Christie thrown in there for the mystery and suspense. I'm always dreaming up my next story and studying my surroundings for details to put in my stories. The best details come from observing real life.</p>
<p>Armed with a BA in Fine Arts, I have pursued the arts through painting, sculpture, mixed media collage and altered arts. Writing was something I did in my "spare time" and never took seriously until a friend suggested I try self publishing.</p>
<p>In 2010 I published my first book, "Ghosts, Gunman and the Grinning Cat" and never looked back. I write paranormal suspense, non-fiction reference, and light romance with a common element: quirky humor.</p>
<p>I am an avid animal lover, native Iowan, and am always creating something...whether it is art or my next book. </p>
