About the author

Nancy L. Reed

Nancy L. (Nan) Reed's first writing attempt, at the age of four, was an annotated soup-and-sandwich menu for her imaginary cafe. A love of words grew from that time. Her exploration of poetry resulted in two chapbooks followed by numerous short stories, memory snippets, and the beginnings of two novels. After college, Nan took classes and workshops to improve her writing skills and attended writing conferences to network and learn from successful authors. Nan's lifelong relationship with words has resulted in the publication of a collection of short stories, a compilation of memory snippets, two books of poems and songs about dogs, an illustrated book of curious questions in poetic form, and a book of conversations between two great friends. Her contributions to anthologies include poetry and short stories. Projects in the works include two novels, a readers theater script, and several more children’s books.
