<p>Gordon S. Jackson is Professor Emeritus at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. Originally from South Africa, he worked as a journalist in Johannesburg before completing his doctorate at Indiana University. He taught journalism at Whitworth until his retirement in 2015. He is married and has two adult children.</p>
