<p>N. V. Baker is a former journalist and political science professor. Before turning to fiction, she published three books of non-fiction, two in the field of presidential/legal studies. Her debut novel, <em><strong>vanished</strong></em>., draws on an overland journey she took from Bangkok to London from 1978 to 1979. Her second novel, <em><strong>The Boy in the Suitcase</strong></em>, is the first of the <em>Concealing Sea </em>mystery series. With her partner, Peter, she continues to travel.
