<p>Tom was bought up in the coalfields of the English Midlands. He had little formal education and moved around the country for much of his childhood.</p><p>He married Pat at age nineteen and had two children.</p><p>Due to the lack of opportunity for them in England, Tom and his family moved to a wonderful life in Perth, Western Australia in 1986.</p><p>His jobs included a stint in the Police force in Brighton. Supermarket manager in England and Australia and eventually his love of horseracing took him into the world of bookmaking.</p><p>He is now happily retired and enjoying a minimal life in the Philippines.</p>
